The City of Port Moody is considering a pilot program for a new local transit service. The suggest shuttle service would cover an 8-km loop linking Inlet Centre Rocky Point Park and Moody Centre.
Although the proposed route can be covered using existing transit services, it would require multiple transfers, so staff feel that this offers a much better service for local residents.
The shuttle service would run every 20 to 30 minutes between 4 pm and midnight on Fridays and from between 2 pm and midnight on Saturdays and Sunday. Possible stops for the service include:
- Port Moody Public Library
- Inlet Park field
- Rocky Point Park/Brewers Row
- St. Johns Street and Clarke Street in Moody Centre
- Moody Centre and Inlet Centre SkyTrain stations
- Newport Village/Eagle Ridge Hospital
- Suter Brook Village/Klahanie
