The Shoreline Trail is a gentle hike with beautiful views. The trail starts at the Western end of Rocky Point Park (close to the Boathouse Restaurant) and ends at Old Orchard Park — or vice versa, if you prefer. All told, the trail covers 6 km for a round trip and takes most people around 2 hours to complete.
It isn’t one for veteran hikers but is a lovely weekend stroll for a family (you also don’t need to do the entire length). What really recommends the Shoreline Trail is the gorgeous views of Burrard Inlet. There are also plenty of places to have a picnic and make a day of it.
There is parking at Rocky Point Park for anyone wanting to walk the Shoreline Trail, but it is limited. Alternatively, this trail is easy to reach using public transit. The start of the trail is only a few minutes walk from the Moody Centre station on the Evergreen Extension of Metro Vancouver’s SkyTrain network.
