Fight animal cruelty at this September 10 event. A short, 1.5-km walk (twice round LaFarge Lake) is an enjoyable way to support an important charity, the BC SPCA. In addition to a registration fee ($20 for adults, $10 for youths), participants are encouraged to fundraise from family and friends.
As well as the walk itself, there is a whole day of fun activities to get involved with, including:
- Doggy lookalike contest
- Musical sit competition
- Doggy licking bowl contest
- Face painting
- Pet photography (by donation)
- Pictures with the stormtroopers from the Outer Rim Garrison (by donation)
- Bake sale
- Food tent
The BC SPCA’s ‘Paws for a Cause’ Port Coquitlam Walk is sponsored by Scotiabank and takes place at LaFarge Lake (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
