Lights at Lafarge

The city of Coquitlam will be kicking-off the annual Lights at Lafarge festival this Saturday, November 24th. The night will include live music on two stages, food trucks, roving entertainers, buskers, family crafts and more!

The Lights at Lafarge drew in over 200,000 spectators last year. The impressive display encircles the 1.2 km loop around the lake, glittering in over 100,000 lights. Some popular instagram opportunities include the table and chairs , the light garden.  and the 90-foot caterpillar. There are, however, many other adorable insta-opportunities throughout the park, and the city has promised some surprise additions this year!

The kick off event this weekend will signal the launch of the nightly display, which will be on every night until Sunday January 20th. There will be food-trucks on-site throughout the season for visitors to warm-up with hot chocolate, hot dogs or sweet treats! Look out for Buddy the Elf, who has travelled all the way from the North Pole to Coquitlam to search for his Dad!
